Areas of operation
Vashon Sewer District has three main areas of operation covering different parts of the Island. Each area is represented by a commissioner who lives there. If you are planning a re-model or new connection to the system in any of these areas, please contact the office manager first to ensure ease of compliance process and permitting.
Vashon Town Core
The down-town area of Vashon was the original Sewer District area of operations, and now covers Gorsuch Road to Cemetery Road, and 107th to the Sunflower housing extension.

Bunker Trail
Bunker Trail was added to the system in 2001, after it was designated a Health Hazard Area. Existing sewage systems were failing, and new ones could not be added so close to the water.

Beulah Park/COVE Beach
Beulah Park Beach was also added to the system in 2001, after it too was designated a Health Hazard Area. Waste water is pumped to a smaller treatment facility also maintained by King County.
